Transferring money from a bank account to your OPTIMUM card is easy. Contact your bank to set up a transfer or standing order. You can do this:
You can download the Bank Transfer sheet with all the details.
Right click the image below and 'Save Target As...' to download.
You must include the account number found on the back of your card as the payment reference. This is the 14 digit number starting with 1453 that can be found in the top right hand corner on the back of your card (see image below).

Note: We will not be able to transfer the funds to the cardholder if you do not enter the 14 digit account number correctly and in full. Once cleared in our account, transfers may take up to 4 working days to reach your card.
For example you may be asked to provide information such as the following:

You can top up your card On-line with a credit or debit card. This option is available to customers with a full card (non-restricted). If you haven't done this already, click here for details on how to 'upgrade your card'.
To top up, simply:
Log in to 'Your Account' and select the Top up option from the menu.
Select the Pay by Card option.
Enter your card details and top up amount.
Please note: as added security for our customers we will only accept top ups by credit or debit cards that have been registered for MasterCard Secure Code or Verified by Visa. Please see the MasterCard© or Visa websites for more information or contact your card issuer for details.
NOTE: A maximum credit/debit card top up limit of £500 per day applies. A minimum top up of £20 applies. To protect you against fraud credit/debit card top ups take 2 working days to be available on your card. Credit/debit top ups are not available to restricted cardholders.
To get your wages paid directly onto your OPTIMUM card, all you need to do is download and print off this form, complete the details and return it your employer. Simple.
Easier still, if you'd like us to fill in your form simply go to 'Your Account' and select the Top up option to download a form completed with your details for you to take to your employer. Easy.
From there, your wages will be paid onto your OPTIMUM card straight away and you can use it to manage your spending
Your card can be topped up with cash at any Post Office® branch or PayPoint outlet - over 34,000 locations throughout the UK.
Hand over your card and pay the money you want to top up.
Always remember to ask for your receipt.
To find your nearest top up location click on Post Office® or PayPoint.
NOTE: A minimum top up of £10 applies. A maximum top up limit of £500 applies at Post Office® branches and £499.99 at PayPoint outlets. Post Office® top ups take one business day (Mon - Fri) to be available on your card.

If you don't have your card and want to top up you can buy a 360money e-voucher from any PayPoint outlet. You can choose vouchers to the value of £10 - £100. Friends and family can also buy e-vouchers for you!

Visit any PayPoint outlet and ask for a 360money e-voucher (present the coupon if you have printed one).
Keep your 360money e-voucher and go to the OPTIMUM website homepage. To top up your card login to 'Your Account' and select the Top up option from the menu. Select the Pay by e-voucher option and enter your e-voucher number when requested.

To top up your OPTIMUM card with a top up pack, simply follow this 1,2,3:
1. Take the pack to the till along with the amount you want to add to your card (between £20 and £500). A one-off fee of 99p will be taken off your balance
2. Go to 'Your Account ' on the OPTIMUM website
3. Select 'Top up', choose the 'top up pack' option, scratch the panel on the card and enter the 8 digit code.
NOTE: We recommend that you retain your receipt from where you purchased your top up pack
